September 30, 2023 is the date!
The IowAbility Fair is a FREE, one-day event showcasing a vast array of adapted recreation and sport opportunities, as well as products and services designed for people living with SCI/D (spinal cord injury, disease, disorder) or other mobility impairments. Opportunities range from exploring information booths to engaging in fully adapted (ALL INCLUSIVE) sports, and everything in between. This fun-filled event is held at the beautiful Easterseals Iowa campus in Des Moines. https://www.easterseals.com/ia
The Spina Bifida Association of Iowa (SBAIA) serves adults and children who are affected by Spina Bifida. Our mission is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida. Our annual Walk-N-Roll is our biggest fundraiser of the year that raises funds to support the programs and services that assist people with Spina Bifida in Iowa. It’s also a day for everyone to come out and celebrate all of their fundraising efforts and walk (or roll!) strong alongside family, friends, team captains, and a full community of supporters! Join us by signing up to attend on September 30th, creating your fundraising page, and helping collect donations so we can reach our goal together!
So far, a total of 7 teams are currently signed up. We have raised $6,395 as of 9/4/2023 – but be sure to check the PledgeIt site often to see how your team is doing at the link below. If you haven’t done so, get your team signed up! A free Walk-N-Roll t-shirt is included when you register by Sept 10th.
